AKSAM-Alimoglu Cultural and Art Research Center
Alimoglu Cultural and Art Research Center (AKSAM) started to provide services in September 2011 in order to contribute to cultural and art research and support cultural events in Afyonkarahisar.
Çeşmeli Konak, where the center is located, is the first private museum of Afyonkarahisar province. The mansion is one of the examples of Ottoman civil architecture of the last period. A fountain was built first for charity and then a mansion was built by Ismail Efendi, a coffee maker who traded in silk and fabrics. The building, the construction of which was completed in 1906 and was originally built as a single dwelling, was later divided in half by its heirs and has been used in this way for many years. it was nationalized in 2002 and allocated to the Ministry of Culture.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors is Mr.A wide range of educational, cultural and artistic activities are organized in the center built by Ibrahim ALIMOGLU in order to contribute to the cultural and artistic life of Afyonkarahisar.
